Remote NotarizationsAlthough electronic notarizations have been legally available in many states for more than a decade, in 2012 the state of Virginia expanded electronic notarizations to allow their notaries to also legally perform remote based notarizations through a secure web cam session. This next big step has allowed notaries to be able to electronically notarize documents from virtually anywhere at any time.
